C7 Call for Papers

ICCE 2018 Sub-Conference on Practice‐driven Research, Teacher Professional Development and Policy of ICT in Education (PTP)

In response to emerging research diversity, ICCE 2018 will be a meta-conference, comprising of seven co-located theme-based conferences. This is the Call for Papers for the theme-based conference, C7: Practice‐driven Research, Teacher Professional Development and Policy of ICT in Education (PTP).

The ICCE C7 sub-conference on Practice‐driven Research, Teacher Professional Development and Policy of ICT in Education (PTP) welcomes contributions that concern policy, best practices, and scaling up of ICT in education, focuses particularly on formulating national and local policies, promoting instructional leaderships of principals and heads of department, enhancing teachers’ technological, pedagogical and content knowledge and researching students’ experience and learning outcomes. The sub-conference aims to connect researchers in the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the world to share scholarly findings and professional insights into the research, practice and policies on ICT in education.

The C7 sub-conference focuses on the following areas:

  • Research on technological innovations for ICT in education
  • Research on effective practices of ICT in education
  • Research on key concerns for ICT in education
  • Effective methods of teachers’ professional development for promoting ICT in education
  • Technological innovations for teachers’ professional development
  • Key concerns about teachers’ professional development for promoting ICT in education
  • Initiatives of policies on ICT in education
  • Planning of policies on ICT in education
  • Analysis of policies on ICT in education
  • Discussion about emerging methodological issues in research on ICT in education

All contributions in relation to accomplished research or work in progress under the sub-conference areas are valued.

  • Full paper (8-10 pages)
  • Short paper (5-6 pages)
  • Poster paper (2-3 pages)

Important Dates

  • Paper Submission Due: May 7, 2018 May 21, 2018 May 28, 2018
  • Notification of Acceptance: July 30, 2018
  • Camera-ready paper due: August 13, 2018
  • Author registration deadline: September 1, 2018 September 14, 2018
